Suicide and Crisis Lifeline - 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

A free and confidential 24 hour/7 day a week hotline providing mental health crisis and emotional support to those in suicidal crisis, emotional crisis, or third parties reaching out on their behalf. The caller will be routed to the closest possible crisis center in their area first and rerouted to a backup center if their local center is unavailable. Online chat is available, and other resources to help individuals are listed on the website. The website lists information about how to help oneself and others when in crisis, finding resources, and best practices for mental health providers. Videophone services are available for deaf/hard of hearing individuals via the 988 website here.
