Section 8 Rent Assistance is designed to help low income families meet their monthly housing costs - Program provide benefits each month by paying some of a family's rent directly to the landlord - Tenant pays about 30% of monthly income toward rent & utilities - Benefits can be provided to approximately 128 families a month:Program operates at capacityNew applicants generally placed on waiting listOpenings occur on a regular basis
