Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers Program - Washington County Community Development Agency

A federal voucher program for low-income households to afford housing in the private market. If determined eligible, participants of the voucher program can find their own housing, which includes single-family homes, townhomes, or apartments.The participant's rent is based on their household income and the amount of subsidy allowed by the program. Rental assistance is paid by the agency directly to the property owner. Assistance is transferable to other rental units and moves with the participant so long as the participant remains eligible and has not violated program rules.
