Application process

Visit website to complete an online application. An advocate or case worker may also assist with completing the application. Once an application has been approved, instructions will be provided for scheduling care with a participating veterinary clinic. Clients are asked to contribute what they are able to at the time of the appointment and the remaining cost will be covered.

Description

Provides financial assistance for pet owners experiencing homelessness. Case managers will conduct an interview to determine if individuals qualify for pre-approved emergency veterinary care. If eligible, the case manager will approve an exam and help the individual make an appointment for their pet at a local hospital or clinic. NOTE: Services may be declined based on eligibility criteria, missed appointments, service limitations, specific procedures requested, or funding availability. Feeding Pets of the Homeless reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.
