Education, Information, Support and Advocacy - Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota
Resources for education, information, support, and advocacy may include the following: - Adult peer groups throughout the state - Age-appropriate education programs for youth about epilepsy, seizure first aid, and prevention - Camp Oz: A week-long, residential camp for youth 9 - 17 who have epilepsy. Held the third week in June each summer. - Creative Arts encourages people with epilepsy to submit artwork and writings - Epilepsy first aid and awareness training for professionals and for the public including seizure recognition - Family events - Shining Stars: Kids with epilepsy are recognized with certificates and a medallion, special events and a chance to meet other Shining Stars. Brochures, pamphlets and resource materials. Some available in Spanish and Hmong.
