HeatShare - Salvation Army Twin Cities Social Services

Provides emergency utility assistance for people with no other options for aid. Funds are used to help individuals pay for natural gas, oil, propane, and electricity depending on what heats their home. Provides energy conservation education to participants.

Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must: - Have a gas bill in their name and received a final shut off notice or have been disconnected - Have exhausted all other energy assistance funds - Be responsible for paying their heat bill - Have a bill under $1000 - Have paid 3% of the household annual income towards the balance - Have a critical event (crisis or emergency) that has prevented them from paying the bill - Live anywhere in Minnesota
