Provides coordination of fighting of large fires and all risk incidents.
- Employees of Minnesota DNR, US Forest Service, The Bureau of Indian Affairs, US Fish & Wildlife Service, the National Park Service and Department of Emergency Management jointly have equipment and training sessions at this location
- All agencies that fight wildfires in Minnesota are represented here
- The cache of equipment stored here is for 21 states
- Coordination of fighting of large fires in the state and on the Superior National Forest is done here, as well as sending people to assist with fires outside of state
- Also involved in all risk incidents
- Have Smokey The Bear fire prevention materials as well as Woodsey Owl and the Junior Forest Ranger programs coordinated out of this building
