Services provided in the hospital or in a patient's home include: - Companionship from volunteers - Education - Family support - Medical supply, equipment, and medication management - Nursing care - Nutritional support - Pain and symptom management (also known as palliative care) - Physical, occupational, and speech therapy - Spiritual counseling Support for caregivers: - Education and information to make difficult end-of-life decisions - Emotional support - Help caring for a loved one at home or in the hospital - Respite services
