Eligibility

Families who have an annual income at or below 185% of the federal poverty guidelines, or receive Public Assistance. Must have children ages 3 - 4 years of age by the month of September and are not eligible for Kindergarten. Children under the age of 3 may be eligible if they meet priority status, such as homelessness, teen parent, child protective services, or are in foster care. Must be a resident of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright counties.

Provides an early learning scholarship to families with children ages 3 - 5 to improve access to quality child care and improve school readiness. Families with children ages birth - 2 are eligible if identified as a priority population. Scholarships provide financial assistance to eligible families to help pay for quality child care and early education programs participating in Parent Aware.
