Inspection services for food, lodging, and pools to ensure commercial entities are compliant with state and local health codes. Enforces state and local environmental laws and assists the state with monitoring programs. Lead and Healthy Homes: Eliminate elevated lead levels in Minneapolis for children under six and reduce indoor environmental hazards in homes and family day cares. Environmental Services: Monitor and regulate air, water, and noise pollution within the city of Minneapolis. Work with the public and businesses about energy use strategies. Develop initiatives to reduce pollution throughout the city of Minneapolis.
