Description
Victims can seek help, guidance, and support through the Domestic Abuse Service Center. Multiple services are provided at one centralized location, such as advocacy, connecting to prosecution team, legal consultation, and representation from pro-bono attorneys. Services provided: - Advocacy and referral for any other service that the victim may need such as housing, counseling, or victim's compensation - Advocates from several culturally specific agencies on a rotating basis - Access to police, city of Minneapolis or Hennepin County prosecutors, probation, and child protection services for victims of domestic abuse - Help with Orders for Protection - On-site playroom, interpretive services, some transportation assistance - Safe environment; on-site deputy sheriff providing security NOTE: To find out if an Order was served, contact the Sheriff's Office.
