Military and Veteran CORE Program - Lutheran Social Service - Mankato

In partnership with the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA), the CORE program offers casework, outreach, referral, and education. Behavioral Health Counseling: - Deployment and reintegration support - Diagnostic assessments - Individuals and couple counseling - Family counseling and support - Trauma-focused Behavioral Therapy Caregiver Support Respite: - Caregiver coaching and counseling - Classes and workshops to caregivers - Emergency care planning - Support groups Case Management: - Case management services to create a personalized plan identifying beneficial services and resources based on an individual's situation Financial Counseling: - Budget and financial counseling services - Credit improvement - Debt management - Foreclosure prevention - Homeownership - Student loan counseling Homeless Initiative: - In a collaboration with Minnesota's Heading Home, staff work with homeless veterans to find solutions for short and long-term shelter Veterans Support Groups: - Men's veterans PTSD support group - Women's support groups for family members of veterans
