Low-income residents of Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca, and Watonwan counties. Also, must: - Be currently homeless or at imminent risk of losing housing (doubled-up situations are looked at on a case-by-case basis) - Cooperation with employment service programs - Have the ability to resolve the crisis on their own or with other agency resources - Housing affordability (basic housing costs-rent, electricity, gas, etc. less than 50% of net income) and ability to maintain housing - Live, work or attend school in the nine-county area - Meet income eligibility (under 175% of the Federal Poverty Guideline) - Willing to participate in follow-up services and cooperation with past follow-up requirements

Description

NOTE: Funding is currently not available for this program at this time. Please refer to other programs. Provides homeless prevention program services such as: - Prevention Services: Temporary financial assistance and/or supportive services to help people remain in their current housing situation, relocate, or divert them from entering the homeless system. Financial assistance is provided for past due rent or for one-time housing funds to help individuals maintain or obtain housing. - Rapid-Rehousing: Assist households to quickly exit homelessness and return to permanent housing. Provides one-time rental assistance and supportive services such as case management and housing navigation.
