Occupational Therapy - Cook Hospital

Therapists help individuals regain, develop and build skills that are important for independent living. Treatment programs are individualized, adaptations to the home/work/school environment are recommended and individuals are instructed in home programs. Treatment services offered include: - Adaptive equipment training - Cognitive (memory) evaluation - Edema/scar management - Hand/wrist/elbow rehabilitation - Home safety assessment - Industrial Medicine: Work conditioning, functional job analysis, ergonomic assessment, body mechanics training and pre-work - Low vision training - Lymphedema treatment - Modalities (lantophoresis, ultrasound, infrared, paraffin, etc.) - Pediatric services - Upper body strengthening - Wheelchair assessment
