Emergency Assistance - EA - Big Stone County Family Services

Cash-grant program for families with low incomes experiencing household emergencies. Families can receive assistance once every 18 months. The assistance received must resolve the crisis. Families must use their own money first. The amount of assistance provided might not cover the entire emergency, but it can help. Short-term grant assistance for persons in a financial crisis including utility shut-off (electric, gas, heating and water service payment assistance), eviction, or foreclosure.

- Low income families with children under age 21 and are residents of Big Stone County - Must have an emergency that threatens a child's health or safety and lack the goods or services necessary to protect the child's health or safety
