Crime Victim Services Provides victims information and referral to local victim advocates and services. Provides information about the investigation and prosecution process. Advises crime victims of their rights and monitor the enforcement of those rights. Provides written materials on crime victim rights and issues. Provides information about available financial resources including the Emergency Fund, the Auto Theft Impound Fund, and the Reparation Program (see separate service). Assists victims who believe they have been treated unfairly in the criminal justice system (the Crime Victim Justice Unit). Victim Information and Notification Everyday - VINE Automated telephone notification systemproviding crime victims with an offender's custody status and location,criminal charge information, sentence expiration date and referral informationfor law enforcement and victim services provider organizations. Service isavailable 24 hours a day. Automated information and notification system which notifies registered usersupon a change in an offender's status. Victims can be notified by automatedphone message, email, or text message.

Application process

- General assistance and referral provided by telephone. - For crime victims applying for financial assistance, the reparations claim form must be submitted. - For crime victims with complaints, Crime Victim Justice Unit staff will provide informal assistance over the telephone. Persons wishing to file formal complaint must complete complaint form which can either be downloaded from the OJP website or can be mailed upon request via phone or email.
