Defensive Driving 55 Alive - Grand Rapids Independent School District 318

Defensive driving course for 55 years or older drivers - This is an 8 hour program and there are no examinations - Completion of the course will qualify you for less expensive automobile insurance rates. Classes are often held through local Community Education offices and Senior Citizen Centers. Persons can call each of these agencies for information about possible upcoming classes - Registration for these classes are held through the Community Education District #318. - Refresher classes and one 8 hour beginner class in Grand Rapids - Classes in Cohasset every month; one 8 hour and one 4 hour - Classes in Deer River through Community Education - Classes in Hill City through Community Education - Classes in Coleraine through Community Education - Classes in Bigfork through the "Over 50 Club" - There are many contact places for Driver Safety Program classes. These classes give the participants a 10% reduction on car insurance, plus keep them up to date on driving rules and driving problems. There are two classes; first an eight hour beginning classs (two 4 hour sessions); secondly after 3 years a 4 hour refresher class. All classes have a fee of $12.00 AARP Members and $14.00 non-members
