Eligibility

Families with children who receive free or reduced lunch or have experienced a recent financial hardship in grades K - 12 who:
  • Live in or go to school within Stillwater Independent School District 834's boundaries
  • Residents of Afton, Bayport, Baytown Township, Grant, Hugo, Lake Elmo, Lake Saint Croix Beach, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, Marine on Saint Croix, May Township, Oak Park Heights, Saint Mary's Point, Stillwater, Stillwater Township, West Lakeland Township, Withrow, and Woodbury

Required documents

Application/registration form a copy of the first page of the applicant's most recent Federal income tax return with bank routing and social security information blacked out

Provides young people access to activities offered in the community through financial need-based scholarships and loans of new or gently used athletic equipment, musical instruments, or other necessary items. Assistance is available to qualifying youth for: - 4-H programs - Afton Alps/SOS Outreach (skiing or snowboarding) - Applewood Junior Golf League - Ashland Productions - Belle Ballet - Boy Scouts of America - Curio Dance and School - Dayspring Suzuki Studio (string instrument lessons) - District 834 Community Education classes - Girl Scouts of the USA - Hidden Pines Ranch summer day camp - MN 7 on 7 Passing League (touch football) - Oak Glen Junior Golf League - Off the Wall Studio - Saint Croix Recreation Center's learn-to-skate and hockey start-up classes - Saint Croix Valley Athletic Association - School sports teams and music programs - Stillwater Area Baseball Association - Stillwater Area Fastpitch Association - SAHS Pony Activity Center student memberships - Stillwater Area Lacrosse Association - Stillwater Boys' Traveling Basketball - Stillwater Country Club junior golf lesson program - Stillwater Elks' summer overnight camp - Stillwater Girls' Traveling Basketball - Stillwater Swim Club - StoryArk - Warner Nature Center

Helps children who meet income guidelines and are in grades K - 12 who go to school or reside within the boundaries of Stillwater Area School District 834 find and pursue their passions in artistic, athletic, and educational enrichment extracurricular activities. Also, offers mentoring groups for girls in grades 6 - 12 and financial assistance for reading/comprehension or math tutoring services.
