Bridges Rental Assistance Program - Douglas County Housing and Redevelopment Authority
Provides temporary housing assistance for individuals and families who are low-income that include at least one adult member having a serious mental health diagnosis within the past two years while they wait for a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) or another rental subsidy. Eligible use for Bridges funding includes temporary rental assistance payments and security deposits paid directly to the landlord on behalf of qualified participants.

Eligibility
Open to all households who meet the priority population requirements including: - People living in an institution or other segregated setting who will be homeless when discharged - People experiencing homelessness who need Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) - People who are experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness Households who meet the requirements listed above should also meet these eligibility requirements: - The head of household or other household member must be 18 years of age or over and have a diagnosed mental illness - The household is eligible to receive a Housing Choice Voucher or can become eligible based on successful participation in the Bridges Program - The household's gross income at the time of initial eligibility is at or below 50% of the AMI for the household size
