Financial counselors can help individuals understand their financial responsibility, provide cost estimates, and discuss payment options such as no-interest payment plans. Other options may include: Charity Care / Financial Assistance: Individuals who are uninsured or underinsured may qualify for financial assistance based on income. Patients with household incomes below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines may qualify for a full discount. In comparison, those with incomes between 200% and 300% may qualify for a partial discount on medical bills.
