Included are special outreach programs for at-risk, inner city, and special needs youth. Cub Scouting: Youth in Kindergarten - 5th grade participate in hands-on activities geared towards citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Scouts BSA: Weekly meetings guided by adults aimed at increasing responsibility, leadership experiences, camping, outdoor activities, services projects. Members are introduced to more than 100 hobby and career choices through merit badges and goal setting/achievement. Venturing: A youth development program of Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are age 14 (or age 13 and completed the 8th grade) through age 21. Venturing provides positive experiences to help young people mature and prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Sea Scouts: A specialized segment of the Venture program organized to address members' boating skills and promote knowledge of maritime heritage. Meetings take place in local neighborhoods and communities at the organizations which charter Scouting groups.
