Ride Services - Senior Resources of Freeborn County

Provides ride services with volunteer drivers who use their own personal vehicles. Volunteer drivers provide rides to clients' destinations and pickups. - Individuals on Medical Assistance, Alternative Care (AC), Elderly Waiver (EW), Veterans Administration, or other third party contractors must meet state and local eligibility guidelines and rides must be for medical reasons only - Out of county rides are limited to within approximately 100 miles of Albert Lea, which include Rochester, Twin Cities, Mankato, Owatonna, and Austin - Rides are for any purpose within the city of Albert Lea to seniors living in rural Freeborn County. Rides can be for medical appointments, business, beauty appointments, visiting relatives and friends, coffee, grocery shopping, volunteer sites, senior dining sites, and personal appointments. - Rides outside of Freeborn County must be for medical purposes only - Rides within the City of Albert Lea must be booked two days in advance. Out-of-County rides must be booked by 12 noon two days in advance. NOTE: Rides will not be provided when schools are closed due to adverse weather-related conditions
