Required documents

Application/registration form copies of family's birth certificates names and addresses of former landlords are needed for references picture ID (such as a driver's license) Social Security cards for everyone in the household

Administers federally funded rental assistance programs for all of Blue Earth County through the following programs:

Housing Choice Voucher

Housing Stability Voucher

Mainstream Voucher

Emergency Housing Voucher

Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing

Project-Based Voucher

Family Unification Voucher Programs

Participants receive a voucher that can be used to rent a unit in the private rental market. Program participants pay about 30% of their income toward their rent and utilities. Before assistance is paid, the unit is inspected to ensure it is safe, decent, and sanitary.
