Weatherization - Three Rivers Community Action
- Provides weatherization improvements to reduce eligible households' energy costs and improve the comfort level in homes. - An energy auditor will evaluate and determine what improvements will be completed by a licensed private contractor for eligible homeowners and renters experiencing low income. - Weatherization measures may include insulation and infiltration work, furnace maintenance, venting of water heaters, heating and exhaust systems, and installation of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors when needed. This work is done as a one-time improvement to the dwelling.

- Call; visit website; an application for Energy Assistance must be completed - Due to funding levels, not all clients that qualify will receive weatherization services in any given year. Cannot guarantee when and if work will be completed.

Residents of Goodhue, Rice, and Wabasha counties who meet one of these guidelines: - Older adults ages 60 years and older or individuals living with a disability with high heat costs - Households with children aged 6 or younger living in the home with high heat costs
