Senior Mental Health Services - Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin

Offers age-specific diagnostic and treatment options to address the specialized mental health service needs of older adults. Helps with a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, changes in sleeping or eating habits, confusion thought disorders, and other issues that cause distress, put a person at risk, or reduce his or her ability to function in the community. Services include: - Comprehensive diagnostic assessment - Psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) - In-home psychotherapy - Educational training and workshops on geriatric mental health issues

Eligibility

- Individuals 55 and older, are willing and able to participate in mental health therapy and are not in imminent risk of serious harm to self or others - In-home services available to eligible clients within in-home service area who have medical conditions or mobility issues - Primarily serves residents of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties
