- Provide transportation to and from medical appointments - Priority list: 1. Elders 2. Diabetics/Dialysis 3. Chemo/Cancer Patients 4. Heart Patients 5. Disabilities 6. Remaining Population Medical Transportation Reimbursement Program (MRP) - Pays for the most cost effective way to get you to the closest provider with the level of care you need. Patient must be enrolled in a MN Health Care Program. -Pays for you to drive your own vehicle, have a family member take you or a friend. Reimbursement cost includes mileage at the rate of .20 per mile and parking fees, as well as, lodging and meals if your required medical attention isn't available locally. This program does not have a priority list. Medical Volunteer Driver Program - Offers medical transportation by a registered volunteer driver, who will transport you to the closest provider capable of providing care you need. Volunteer drivers will be reimbursed at .51 per mile and the service is provided at no cost to you. Patient must be enrolled in a MN Health Care Program. This program does not have a priority list.
