Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by availability of regular route transit and walking distance to a regular route transit stop. Those who are within 1/4 of a mile in the winter, or 1/2 of a mile the rest of the year, of a bus stop will not be eligible to use the Transit Link dial-a-ride service.Serves residents of the following counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington.- Dial-a-ride programs in Maple Grove and Plymouth will continue to operate within their communities but residents will use Transit Link if they are traveling outside of the city.

Shared-ride service, which must be reserved in advance. Individuals may reserve a ride up to five days in advance, or call at least two hours in advance for same-day trips. Rides are subject to availability, and fares are based on the distance traveled. The base fare is $3.50, one way.Transit Link customers can transfer to a Metro Transit bus without paying a separate fare. Ask the driver for a paratransit transfer.NOTE: Transit Link service is not available where regular transit routes are operating. Call (651)602-LINK (5465) for more information or to reserve a ride.
