Residential Services - Living Well Disability Services

Provides residential services in 22 communities. Owns and operates homes in 37 locations throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding counties. - Daily Living Supports: May include activities that enhance decision-making skills, develop sensory and motor skills, develop interpersonal skills, money management, and household responsibilities. Daytime support is provided for people who choose not to participate in outside employment, day training, or habilitative services. Access to community activities is made possible by accessible vehicles. Outings are based on individual choice and examples include visiting family and friends, attending church and medical appointments, participating on sports teams, and working out at a health club. - Health Services: For individuals living in Living Wells Disability Services' homes, staff provide nursing care, nutritional assessment and meal planning, occupational therapy assessments, environmental adaptations, assistive technology and communication devices, adaptive equipment, sensory integration, and massage therapy. - Recreational Opportunities: Provides leisure and recreation assessment through the Therapeutic Recreation Program. Each home participates in the Garden Therapy Program, and individuals may participate in expanded wellness activities based on their personal interests. Opportunities to be active in one's own community through volunteering, taking classes, making new friends, and maintaining relationships with family and friends are available. - Wellness: Provides a wellness program to reduce the need for medication and increase mobility
