Medical Assistance for Employed Persons with Disabilities promotes competent employment and the economic self-sufficiency of people with disabilities by assuring continued access to Medical Assistance for necessary health care services MA-EPD allows working people with disabilities to qualify for MA under higher income limits than regular MA. The goal of the program is to encourage people with disabilities to work and enjoy the benefits of being employed. MA-EPD pays for the same services as regular Medical Assistance including: - Prescription drugs - Medical equipment services- Personal assistance services - Physician and health clinic visits - Physical, occupational and speech therapy - Mental health services - Inpatient hospital services ??

Fee

People with incomes, earned and unearned, equal to or above 100 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) must pay a premium based on a sliding fee scale. There is no maximum income limit or maximum premium amount.

Eligibility

- Certified disabled by either the Social Security Administration or the State Medical Review Team.
- Over 16 but under 65 years of age.
- Be employed.
- Not eligible for Medical Assistance under another category.
- Pay a monthly premium
