Description

Matches trained volunteers with older adults whose mental well-being is challenged by their life circumstances. Volunteers provide friendship and support to a peer as they face the changes and challenges of growing older. Activities may include a walk, talking, playing cards, or attending a community event. Most peer counseling relationships last from several months to a year and include weekly hour-long visits and goal setting.
