Eligibility
Residents of Steele County who are breastfeeding, pregnant, and post-partum women with children age birth - 5 and meet WIC income guidelines or one of the following requirements:
  • Be enrolled in another program such as Medical Assistance or SNAP
  • Nutrition and/or medical need

Provides nutrition education and special foods that promote good health. WIC provides the following services:
  • Assistance with any special needs
  • Health assessment and screening
  • Nutrition education
  • Referral to other community services
?Vouchers are given to participants to purchase nutritious foods such as cereal, cheese, eggs, infant formula, fruits and vegetables, milk, and peanut butter
