?Uses evidence-based and faith integration upon request. The day treatment program is trauma-informed and DBT-inspired group therapy setting for youth who have regressed from traditional outpatient counseling.- Individual, group and family therapy struggling with aggressive, high-risk, and self-injurious behaviors, emotional outbursts, authority defiance and relational conflict - Youth attend 2 hours a day Monday - Friday. Morning and afternoon groups are available. The length of the program is 3-5 months with individual and family therapy sessions included. - Youth and parents will participate in at least one monthly family therapy session - After youth completes treatment, the team will work to create an appropriate aftercare plan.Skills taught in group sessions: - Emotion regulation: Learning skills to help understand and regulate emotions and impulses - Distress tolerance: Learning skills to help survive crises as well as tolerate and deal with pain in a more effective way- Interpersonal effectiveness: Learning skills to help reduce painful and chaotic relationships- Mindfulness: Learning skills to help experience the current environment, sensations, feelings, and thoughts in a non-judgmental wayYouth can also receive academic assistance and tutoring with the day treatment program. The program enhancement provides counseling and educational support to address both the psychological needs and the educational and emotional needs of students enrolled.
