Programs that encourage total community involvement in discouraging preventable crime: - K-9 unit - Patrol services - Specialty units - Investigative services - Animal shelter for stray holds and adoption Animal control: - Emergency concerns include: Animal fighting, intentional animal abuse, animal/vehicle collisions, vicious animals, animals chasing/attacking people - Non-emergency concerns include: Stray dogs, nuisance barking, animals in distress, animal bites and scratches that break the skin, removal of dead animal carcasses
