A nurse home visiting program to work toward the improvement of:

Family economic self-sufficiency

Maternal and child health well being

Prevention of child abuse or maltreatment

Prevention of childhood injuries and reduction of emergency department visits

Reduction in a crime or domestic violence

Referrals to other community resources and supports

School readiness

NOTE: Nurse-Family Partnership works by having specially trained nurses regularly visit young, first-time moms-to-be, starting early in the pregnancy, continuing through the child's second birthday
