Eligibility
Families who are experiencing a crisis and are in need of short-term emergency care for their children ages birth - 12, and are residents of Benton, Crow Wing, and Stearns Counties
Required documents
After a placement has been approved the paperwork needs to be completed with the parent and could take up to 45 minutes to complete. The paperwork has to be signed and completed in order for a legal placement.

Program Fees

  • No Fee
Provides crisis child care for parents dealing with personal stress or crises, such as an illness, housing problems, separation, financial strains, or other issues, who can reach out for support. Services offered:
  • Short-term child care with a licensed provider for children ages 12 and younger
  • Family support, including information and referrals to community resources such as baby items and diapers
NOTE: Sometimes providers are not available; therefore, immediate placements may not always be available.
