Household hazardous waste materials accepted: - Aerosols - Antifreeze - Batteries - Bug killer - Fire extinguishers - Electronics - Fire extinguishers - Fireworks - Fluorescent light bulbs - Gasoline - Household cleaners - Latex/oil paint - Lawn and garden products - Mercury thermometers - Pesticides - Pool and spa chemicals - Propane tanks/gas cylinders - Thermostats - Used oil/filters - Weed killer - Most products labeled dangerous, flammable, poison, combustible, or corrosive Recycling materials accepted: - Aluminum foil (clean) - Books (hard and soft covers) - Boxes (cake mixes, cereal, toothpaste, pasta, and other dry goods) - Cans - aluminum and steel - Cartons: Milk, soup, and wine - Corrugated cardboard - Eyeglasses - Glass bottles and jars - Grills - Holiday lights that are tangled, broken, or unwanted (cord adapters and battery packs not accepted) - Magazines and catalogs - Mixed mail - Metal cans - Newspaper - Office paper - Plastic bags - Plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs - Printer cartridges (inkjet only) - Scrap metal - Shredded paper Other waste accepted: - Bicycles - Cooking oil - Fruit, pudding, and yogurt cups - Home sharps (needles, syringes, and lancets) - Lawn mowers - Snow blowers - Tires Aluminum Can Buy Back: Gopher Resource Corporation buys aluminum cans from the public Product Reuse Area: Usable chemical products such as paints, stains, cleaners, automotive products such as car wax and brake fluid and solvents are placed in the reuse area and are free for taking

- Write; visit website; call; walk in - Place household hazardous waste products in a box when transporting. Product contents should be labeled and in original package. Never mix or pour household hazardous wastes together. - Call to arrange for recycling loads larger than a pick-up truck - Call for aluminum can buy back redemption prices
