Homeless Outreach Services - YMCA of the North
Resource Centers: During designated drop-in hours, YMCA Resource Centers are staffed by an Outreach Worker who can help youth, ages 12 - 24, with basic needs support such as food, clothes, hygiene items, household supplies, parenting items, and more. Also during drop-in hours, youth can stop in to get their coordinated entry assessment completed, help finding shelter, screened for prevention services, or access other YMCA resources/services. Four locations: Lion's Resource Center/Northeast Minneapolis, Emma's Place in Coon Rapids, Maplewood, and Saint Paul Midway Safe StaY Emergency Shelter: Moves youth off the streets into a safe space and provides supportive services. School and Street Outreach: Youth Outreach Workers provide services for youth and young adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness at schools and out in the community to meet immediate needs and connect them to community resources. Youth Resource Line: A free message line for local youth age 12 - 24 who are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk. Assistance with resources and community referrals.
