Fees
  • Rail fares are the same as bus fares $2.50 during rush hours, $2 at all other times.
  • Single-ride tickets can be purchased from vending machines at rail stations (cash or credit card).
  • Tickets are valid for 2-1/2 hours after purchase.
  • Rail tickets can be used as transfers to buses; however, express or rush-hour changes must be paid in cash, if applicable.
  • No express charges apply.
  • Seniors, youth, and persons with disabilities qualify for reduced fares during non-rush hours.
NOTE: Rush hour fares apply Monday - Friday (except holidays) from 6 am - 9 am and from 3 pm - 6:30 pm. There is a $180 fine for riding the train without paying.

Blue Line is a light-rail service between downtown Minneapolis and the Mall of America. Stops include Fort Snelling, the VA Medical Center, and the airport. The Green Line is a light-rail service between downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. Stops include Target Field, the University of Minnesota, and St. Paul.
