Emergency Management Services - Chippewa County Emergency Management

Assists the community in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from natural and man-made disasters. Services include coordination with agencies to deliver critical support, such as emergency response and hazard mitigation, to ensure recovery and resilience, as well as planning, public education, and training. Services may include:

• Disaster preparedness

• Emergency communications

• Emergency management during a disaster

• Emergency operations center

• General disaster information

• Safety alerts

• Weather warnings to county fire departments and Montevideo cable TV, including cold weather, extreme heat, flood, tornado, and winter storm advisories
