Public Health Emergency Preparedness is the capability of the public health and human care systems, communities, and individuals to prevent, protect against, quickly respond to, and recover from health emergencies. Public Health Emergency Preparedness includes:
  • Dispensing/vaccination clinics
  • Essential services such as isolation and quarantine
  • Mass care shelters and evacuation points coordination
  • Medical countermeasures
  • Volunteer management
Human Service Emergency Preparedness includes:
  • Behavioral health services
  • Disaster food stamps to replace food destroyed by a disaster
