Eligibility
  • Adults and children who are in a mental health crisis who are NOT intoxicated or actively suicidal

Application process
Call for an initial screening to determine need Wellstone staff contact Mobile Crisis team if appropriate; if Mobile Crisis team needs to meet with that person, a public location and time will be arranged with the client at the time of the call Follow-up and service connection are provided.

Sliding scale is based on gross income and is utilized only for those without insurance. Must provide evidence of medical assistance denial. Call for fee information; donations accepted/requested; hourly; paid by County/state; paid by insurance; sliding scale

Mobile Crisis offers short-term services for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis due to life change, loss, increase in symptoms, or need for evaluation for services. Clients and crisis team staff meet in a public place arranged with Crisis Team. Services include:
  • Assessment of recipient's immediate needs and additional assessment of the factors that led to the crisis
  • Individualized crisis stabilization treatment planning
  • Referrals to other service providers in the community to support the recipient's transition from crisis stabilization services
  • Suicide risk assessment and safety planning
  • Supportive counseling
