County Attorney Services - Blue Earth County Attorney

The County Attorney serves as a corporate counsel for the county. Services may include:- Counsel to Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners and other county officials- Handles commitments for chemical dependency and mental illness and matters involving juvenile welfare, such as nonsupport, paternity adjudication, child protection proceedings, and termination of parental rights- Prosecutes felony cases, different types of misdemeanor violations referred by the county Human Services department, juvenile delinquency cases, and advises the grand jury in criminal proceedings- Representing Blue County in civil lawsuits
