Eligibility
Low-wage individuals interested in creating a savings program for the purpose of purchasing a home, furthering education, or beginning or enhancing a small business who are residents of Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens, and Traverse counties

  • Financial Literacy class: None
  • HomeStretch class is $45 per household and includes an instruction manual. The Framework Online class can be taken at $75

A matched savings project that assists low-wage workers at or below 200% of poverty to build assets. Participants will save earned income each month. The maximum savings per month are $84 for two years. Once families reach their savings goals, matched funds will be added, and the money can be used for purchasing a home, post-secondary education, personal vehicle purchase, or for a small business. FAIM helps people change spending and savings behaviors, including consumer debt reduction. Participants complete financial management and asset-specific training requirements.
