Description

Connects individuals and groups to volunteer opportunities across the Twin Cities metro area. Through the Volunteer United platform, participants can find projects aligned with their interests, such as: - Action Day: Packing backpacks with school supplies for K-12 students - Flavors of Our Community: Assembling culturally specific pantry and spice packs for local food shelves - Home for Good: Providing essential items to families transitioning into stable housing. These initiatives support the organization's focus areas of education, housing, and food security. Volunteers contribute to community-wide efforts, including workplace and at-home projects, with support from United Way's Volunteer United team.

Providing organization

Greater Twin Cities United Way

Works to build pathways towards prosperity and equity for all. Focuses on root causes of poverty by increasing access to stable housing, healthy food, a strong education, and wealth-building jobs. Accomplishes these goals by grant-making and fundraising; advocacy and coalition building; volunteer engagement; nonprofit leadership support and capacity building; and by operating the 211 resource helpline.
