Description

Winona County Community Services contracts with Hiawatha Valley Mental Health to provide mental health assessments for children. Based on the assessment the child may receive case/care management services through the County Department of Human Services or they may be referred for residential or other intensive treatment options available. The county provides for residential treatment which includes a 24-hours/day program under the clinical supervision of a mental health professional, in a community setting, other than an acute care hospital or regional treatment center inpatient unit.
