Refugee Cash Assistance - RCA - Western Prairie Human Services

Provides temporary financial assistance for refugees and eligible entrants while they are in the process of resettling in the United States. NOTE: Able-bodied RCA recipients are required to participate in an employment and training program. RCA recipients who are disabled or 65 years of age or older are required to apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

- Refugees may not be eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) - Must have arrived in the United States less than 8 months ago - Those who have been granted asylum less than 8 months ago
