Minnesota Department of Education Early Learning Scholarships - Anoka County Community Action Program - ACCAP

Early Learning Scholarships help individuals pay for child care and early education to help children get ready for school. A scholarship must be used at a Parent Aware-Rated program. Parents Aware is a rating tool to help parents select child care and early education programs. Early Learning Scholarships increase access to early childhood programs for 3-and 4-year old children with the highest needs to improve school readiness for all young children.

Eligibility

Open to children ages birth - 2 years old are eligible if they are residents of Anoka and Washington counties and meet 1 or more of the following criteria: - Child of a teen parent - Currently in foster care - Have experienced homelessness in the last 24 months and/or in need of child protective services - Priority is given based on family income, child poverty, or one of the special populations listed above within the geographic region
