First City - Visitation and Safe Exchange Program - Northwoods Caregivers

- Supervised visitation and exchange services assist families in making exchanges and visitations healthy, safe and effective for all family members. First City offers a neutral, child-friendly space, with no contact between custodial and non-custodial parents or guardians for: - Dropping off/picking up children being exchanged for visits - Supervised visits of children with their non-custodial parent of guardian - Parent/Child Information & Referral To schedule an exchange or visit, both parties (custodial and non-custodial parents/guardians) must have separate interviews with a staff member of First City before any visits or exchanges can be scheduleed. During this meeting, the staff member will explain how the program works and will help each party complete the necessary forms. There is a $20 fee charged to each party for this intake process. Once the interview have been completed, the non-custodial parent may submit a request for dates and times they are wishing to have visits or exchanges. These requests are screened based on availability of staff, and are then presented to the custodial parent/guardian. All appropriate fees must be paid prior to any visits or exchanges.
