Minnesota Supplemental Aid - MSA - Hennepin County Human Services - Economic Supports

Provides a monthly cash grant to people who are aged, blind or disabled and who receive federal Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. Some persons whose income is too high to receive SSI may be eligible for MSA. NOTE: Most of these persons also receive or are eligible to receive SSI and/or RSDI. Applications for SSI/RSDI are handled through the local Social Security office, not Hennepin County. Persons may be eligible for the Medicare Savings Programs.

Eligibility

Minnesota residents who are recipients of SSI, or are eligible for SSI except for excess income and whose net income is less than the MSA standards and who are: - Age 65 or older - Over age 18 and certified blind or disabled by the Social Security Administration
