Description

Provides a directory of free or reduced-cost dental clinics and programs throughout Minnesota, including special services for children, the elderly, disabled, or medically compromised individuals. Special resources where limited amounts of reduced cost or free dental services are offered under certain circumstances, such as: - UCare Toothcare Mobile Unit: For eligible UCare Members - Donated Dental Services (Dental Lifeline Network): For persons living with a disability, older adults, or medically compromised individuals. Free comprehensive dental services for those who qualify. Specific criteria and application required. Some counties may have a waiting list of a year or more. - Give Back a Smile Program: Special program for battered women. - Give Kids a Smile Program: Volunteer professionals provide free dental services for children throughout Minnesota in early February each year. (See separate listing) - Mission of Mercy: A two-day volunteer event in which free dental services are provided for children, adults, and the elderly by volunteer professionals. - Smiles Change Lives: Provides orthodontic care throughout Minnesota for children ages 10-18 who have a significant malocclusion, can be treated in one stage, have good oral hygiene and cannot afford orthodontic treatment. Specific eligibility criteria and a treatment fee of $600 required. Application is required to be accepted into the program.
